Challenges We’ve Helped Adults in Recovery Overcome:

These are the underlying skills that make up how you think and learn, they are kind of like your computer’s process, always running in the background allowing you to pay attention, focus, process, and remember information.

We evaluate short-term and long-term memory, processing speed, logic and problem solving, attention, and auditory and visual processing through a cognitive assessment. Once we’ve pinpointing your specific areas of weakness, we address all of these challenges and more by targeting the root issues through focused training.

You will work one-on-one with a Cognitive Coach on mental exercises to fortify the weaknesses that are holding you back. It’s kind of like going to work out with a personal trainer at the gym, except for your brain.

The great news is that regardless of if your cognitive weaknesses are due to a life-long learning disability, a concussion, or damage from alcohol or drug abuse, the brain is able to be changed and rewired for better function. All of these skills are not only necessary for recovery, but for life beyond recovery in the workplace, in school, and in day-to-day life. With a strong cognitive foundation in place, you will be ready to learn, retain, and use the strategies that make all the difference in your recovery and beyond.
