Learning Challenges and Disabilities

AHDH, dyslexia, and other learning difficulties

It is never too late to treat the root cause of learning and thinking challenges

We know that just because you turn 18, learning disabilities, disorders, and challenges such as dyslexia, ADHD, and slow processing speed don’t go away. Many of the adults whom we work with come to us frustrated from years of having to work around these limitations. They typically have figured out ways to compensate for these issues, but it comes at a cost for them and sometimes their families. Adults share with us that it impacts their careers, relationships, and just their overall energy and stamina. The great news is that neuroplasticity, the brain’s ability to change, exists throughout our entire lives, making it possible to rewire the brain for more optimal performance.

The first step for most people is an assessment to pinpoint the exact causes of the difficulties and to get a baseline.

A comprehensive cognitive assessment is typically the best choice for this, but we’ll help you determine the best testing option for you. Then based on what we uncover, we’ll have a consultation to review results and determine the best plan for treatment. The most common and successful treatment for addressing learning and thinking deficits is cognitive training.

There’s much, much more to learn about how cognitive training works!
